National Self-Check Month: Take inventory of your health

With February being National Self-Check Month, we pay special attention to self-care of ourselves promote healthiness, safety, and happiness. What does this type of awareness mean?

Here are some ways to check in on yourself not only just this month, but all year round to help prevent health conditions and promote early detection of them.

Exercising, eating healthy, and addressing any concerns to your family and provider are crucial steps of self-care at any age to help you feel better, have more energy, prevent depression, and if diagnosed with an illness – to manage it better!

Annual and as-needed physical examinations by your physician are so important, and throughout the rest of the year there are a variety of health checks you can do in your own home including:

  • Take Your Temperature                                                      
  • Blood & Swab Tests
  • Testicular Checks                                                                 
  • Check Blood Sugar Levels
  • Breast Checks                                                                                   
  • Meningitis Test
  • Checking Your Heart Rate & Blood Pressure                                  
  • Waist Fat Measurement
  • Skin Check

Your life is valuable. You want to feel your best each day, and by practicing these self-checks and self-care you can!
